As others have mentioned, the fan is a bit loud, and when the second fan turns on, whoa, it gets really loud. However, as a person who needs fan noise to sleep, I don't mind it at all and in normal day to day use, it doesn't bother me, YMMV however. The unit has performed very well and has done everything it's advertised to do. If you plug into a normal 15 amp wall socket you will need an adapter plug, I got the Conntek 30129 adapter. I am overall very pleased with my purchase; for money value and what you get, it can't be beat.

Just wanted to post a review that lets everyone know there's a way to quiet this beast down; I did the work last week and it works great. I was on the fence about buying one due to all the reviews mentioning the noise. I started looking at competing vendors' UPS's and all the online ones seemed to mention a sound output in a similar range, so I figured they'd all be just as noisy as this one. I really wanted an online UPS for the added protection it provides as I'm using it for some expensive home theater equipment, but didn't want something that noisy in my A/V closet. ECO mode takes it from 90% efficiency to 93% efficiency and produces slightly less heat. It does this by running the UPS in standby mode, where your line power bypasses the UPS circuitry until a power failure occurs, meaning you've basically got an expensive double conversion UPS operating like a cheap standby UPS, and you're throwing away the benefits of the interference and surge protection that going through the battery provides. CyberPower doesn't make it clear about what you're trading off by running in ECO mode but that's the gist of it.So, running in non-eco mode and with the fan change, and happy so far. Will update my review over the long term.

This item literally just worked, right out of the box. All of the pieces were there to mount directly into the rack. The rails were very sturdy, and made it easy to install the 60+ pound unit by myself. I turned on the device, and it's been working ever since.I saw the concerns about excess noise, and wasn't sure if this was for us. However, in a rack with 5 servers, I had to feel the output of the power supply fan to see if it was on, or off. The rated noise figure is 58 dBA at about 1.5 meters, so it shouldn't add any more noise than the gear you're powering. My guess is that those with noise issues are trying to run this in a bedroom.

Not a single issue since purchase. Has been running non-stop since installation first powering an Arista 7050t-64, Dell R730xd, Dell R620, and my gaming rig with quad monitors and a 3080. Only time unit stopped was because of extended power outage due to an actual transformer failure by my utility. I have done literally zero maintenance to this unit since installation they just work and work perfectly. Plan to buy an extended battery system soon just in case

A great unit. It does what it is supposed to do. This isn't the cheap unit that you plug your TV into. I use these units for my servers.I have been using CyberPower for the last 5 years after APC's quality went down. (Not the batteries failing on the APC's, the controller boards... They are junk..)With many CyberPower units, of different sizes, in use, some getting close to 5 years old, they haven't let me down. I will continue to use and recommend them.On edit: If you are worried about noise, this unit is not for you as they are designed for server rooms and such, mission critical. They are not for home use as they require a dedicated circuit and special outlet. That is the simplest, non-technical way to say it.

We installed this in our data center. It's been running for some time but we haven't 'had' to use it, yet. However, it is installed and we have been able to get rid of multiple (standing) UPS'. The rack-mount UPS is MUCH nicer to look at and makes our data center look much less cluttered and efficient. Overall, very happy we made the switch to this rack-mount UPS over the other type. I will update this when, if, we ever need to actually "use" the UPS (in a power outage) ... hopefully not, but that's what it's there for! So far, I recommend this rack-mount UPS!
