It looks phenomenal.The colors, the brightness, the sharpness, the contrast - it’s as good as my $4000 Samsung QLED TV, and it could get even better with a higher quality projector screen.I haven’t tried gaming on it yet, but I’m confident it’ll hold up well.Only downside is that the remote control/Android TV is quite slow, but I’m going to hook up my Apple TV which should speed up content browsing.I recommend asking ChatGPT for help getting the right projector for your screen size and throw distance. This projector works perfectly for me, but may not for you.I’m going to sleep with these rain videos up every night.

I recently upgraded my gaming setup with the BenQ X3000i True 4K UHD 4LED Gaming Projector, and it has been an outstanding experience. One of the most impressive aspects is its incredible brightness and color accuracy. Even without a traditional projector screen, projecting directly onto a wall, the image quality is stunning – the 3000 lumens brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut bring games and movies to life with vivid, crisp visuals.With that being said, I would definitely like it even better if it had auto focus, but the focus dial is intuitive and easy to use so no point off in my opinion. It has been very quiet, and outside of start-up you can barely hear it when watching a movie or playing a game. The built-in 10W TreVolo speakers provide decent audio quality, but since it has eARC support you're better off driving high-quality audio through external speakers or a sound system.The BenQ X3000i really shines when it comes to gaming. The 1080p 240Hz capability and a low 4.2ms response time create an ultra-smooth, lag-free gaming experience, perfect for fast-paced action. I don't personally use the game modes, defaulting to HDR10 on all devices, but they could be useful for some people - especially for competitive FPS. The integration of Android TV offers convenient access to streaming apps, and it works as expected - this is also something I don't use as I have a GoogleTV/AppleTV hooked to my Onkyo receiver.Overall, It's a top-notch choice for gamers and movie enthusiasts alike. I am definitely a projector and BenQ fan now!

Great Value Projector

This projector does a great job and is able to do 4K with up-conversion on most of our disc library (we have no native 4K yet). We added a 4K capable Blu- ray player, sound bar and screen to get a very satisfying result. It may be a gaming projector, and some day the grandkids may discover that and want to do some gaming on it, but we use it just for video and are very happy with everything except one little niggle. It only does sound output to one device at a time, but it would be nice if it could output sound to multiple sources simultaneously so I could get it streamed to my hearing aids while everyone else hears the speakers.

I am very impressed with my benq x3000i projector. Coming from using a great TV (65 inch Sony 900f), I am impressed with how vibrant the image is, and how responsive controls are while playing games on switch, ps5 and pc. The input lag is not noticeable, whatsoever. Maybe a machine test could notice the non existent input lag, but no human ever could or they're a liar.There is no rainbow effect for me whatsoever. Fast moving content, slow moving content, no rainbow effects.Compared to a 1080p Chinese projector(~$400), there is no comparison. The image quality, response time, machine noise(lack thereof), and appearance of the projector helps justify the price difference.I have not tested the sound at all, other than about 10 seconds to which I switched to digital out to my av unit.After about 3-4 weeks of heavy use, I am more and more impressed every time I turn it on. A little bit of ambient light is defeated with a bit more brightness, and then brightness turned down a bit for evening viewing. The customization of sdr and hdr settings have been easy to use and achieve a great colour to my eyes. Wow the purples, blues, greens, reds, and yellows really pop on the screen. It took a few days to allow my eyes to adjust to the sheer volume of beauty this unit projects on to a screen.I had high hopes for this projector, and I am happy to say my expectations have been exceeded.Things I noticed. Stardew valley has no chop or stutter, only fluid motion when the screen scrolls, which I did not realize was achievable. Cod black ops 4 is extremely fluid and I hit my shots (offline mode) more often than not. Elden ring shadow details very clearly visible while maintaining fabulous contrast. When I use a controller to aim via joystick movement, I find I am scrolling to the target, not past the target. The input lag being so snappy allows me to be much more precise. Rock band 4 is tuned for lcd nominal input lag, versus other before. Funny enough it seemed to be this projector was too fast for the game and so input lag had to be changed to about 85ms, whereas other versions are at about 15ms.I hope this review helps you decide on this projector. I was a bit on the fence, did alot of research. I chose this projector for the lamp life, response time, and sharpness. I have no regrets!

Is it expensive? Yes. Do I still get blown away by the picture every time I use it? Also yes.Obviously not for everyone, but this projector is incredible. Quiet, small, fairly easy to set up. We use it for PS5, Switch, Roku viewing and everyone that sees it is shocked. Incredible brightness while maintaining great black levels, zero jitter/artifacts/ghosting on fast moving sports or video games. If you can afford it, get it.

I was going to buy something cheaper but I ended up paying about $700 extra and going with this because we do some gaming.I don't use the included Android TV dongle, so this review is not relevant on that front.This is installed in a dedicated movie room receiving a signal from an Dolby Atmos receiver. We have an Xbox, a Switch, and main TV is supplied by a Google Chromecast.Interestingly, the Chromecast supplies a 4k signal no matter what the native quality is, so it always runs in 4k unless we are on a game.We really love this projector, it is so bright, we run it on eco mode all the time, and it's still bright enough to watch with the limited lighting on in the room. The picture is crisp, and with the vertical adjustment, it is really easy to get installed without using Keystone which reduces performance. We have it mounted on the ceiling.It starts up very quickly, however, with the connection it needs to make to the Chromecast, it's not really much faster than our old bulb-type projector, in the long run. It's just usable at full brightness faster. What I'm saying is, it starts up fast, but takes the same amount of time to connect.It does occasionally lose signal, but I cannot confirm where the source of that issue is. It reconnects in 15-20 seconds. Happens every couple days or so, could be the long cables, could be a bad connection, I don't know. It's not a major issue, and hasn't happened while gaming, only movies, so it may be a 4k transmission issue.It's very quiet. It is large for a projector in my experience, the box is about twice as large as our former projector. As for the value, I think it was worth it, I'm glad I bought it. That being said, I don't know how the other one I would have bought would have compared.I wish there were a few more settings like our old projector, but we haven't really needed to adjust anything. Maybe it's not the most perfect real life accurate color, but it's bright and vivid and awesome for watching movies and shows. And it seems like it makes Rocket League more responsive, that may be the low latency, I don't know, I'm not an expert.Very happy with this purchase, would buy again.

Awesome AF if you are into flight sims

I'm pretty sensitive to lag so I mainly use the 1080p 240hz option. Maybe if I had a cutting edge video card I would use 4k more (which looks great) but for me i am more about that smooth motion.This is a really cool experience. You can have a huge screen in front of you and flying in DCS world is a real treat.Placing a projector in the right location relative to your screen can be a challenge if you're just using whatever is around you to hold it. I'm sure a ceiling mount would make things easier. Otherwise be sure you have a really long hdmi cable and if needed a power extension for the projector.My only fear is that the projector bulb will burn out in the late future but time will tell how she goes. I use it a lot but am having a great time with it while it lasts.

El mejor proyector en este rango de precios

Estuve investigando mucho sobre proyectores en foros de USA y mis opciones eran este proyector, el epson 4010 y el epson 5050, aquí la elección es simple si eres amante de las películas/cinéfilo y eres solo un jugador/gamer casual ve por cualquiera de los dos epson, en cambio si buscas un proyector para video juegos este benq es tu mejor opción.Al principio proyecte en una pared blanca que a simple vista es lisa ya que tiene textura pero tiene unos granos de arena muy finos que al proyectar se ven puntos negros muy finos apenas visibles, los colores en la pared blanca eran asombrosos solo que el nivel de negros no es el mejor, aquí tengo que puntualizar algo este proyector se ve mejor que cualquier televisor que no sea oled si vienes de tener un oled vas a saber de lo que hablo respecto al nivel de negros, me encontraba indeciso entre comprar una pantalla blanco mate con ganancia de 1.2 o una gris con ganancia de 1.0 de la marca Silveria ticket, me decidí por la gris (de 120 pulgadas) ya que estas mejoran el nivel de negros, esta pantalla de proyección mejoro bastante el nivel de negros pero se perdió el pop en el color, paso de verse el color extraordinario a verse muy bien, no me malinterpreten se ve de la misma calidad que una sala estándar de Cinépolis o cinemex, y se puede ver aún mejor ya que proyecto en mi sala y esta es de paredes blancas y pisos cerámicos de color claro, es un escenario poco eficiente para una sala de proyección. Otra cosa importante es que este proyector es muy brillante así que si tienes unas cortinas blackout puedes proyectar incluso de día, en la foto que subí de un pájaro se aprecia como alcanza a entrar un poco de luz y aún así puedo usar el proyector de día. El único punto negativo para mí es que no puedes usar el keystone ya que esto aumenta mucho los ms(tiempo de respuesta), entonces si es tu primera ves instalando un proyector(como es mi caso) va a ser algo complicado hacer que cuadre la imagen sin usar el keystone, te recomendaría contratar a algún profesional para instalarlo o tener paciencia si quieres hacerlo tu. También quería comentar que he visto el proyector en un rango de precios de 44k a 47k vendido y enviado por Amazon USA, les recomiendo encarecidamente comprarlo solo con distribuidores/vendedores autorizados. Hay mucha información útil en la página avsforum, tengo que agradecer a Sage que hizo una reseña en ese foro, por el “apreté el gatillo” como dicen allá y compre este proyector.
