I purchased this to help me clone my internal hard drive to be able to replace it. I know nothing about doing anything like this, and through research 1) found that I needed this because my computer only has one slot for a hard drive and 2) this would work for the type of hard drive that I needed. The device came packaged very well with 2 connectors - a USBc to USBc and a USBc to USB. I was able to fit the new hard drive into this without any issues. It worked flawlessly and quickly to allow me to perform the cloning and the process was only about 10 minutes. It was a little hard the first time to open the dock. It is a great design and a really great value especially since I don't know if I will need it again. I have found that it can now be a case for my old hard drive so I can keep it safe in case it is needed. So I will get continued use out of it.

I bought this enclosure because of the features and low cost. It never hurts to have an extra NVMe adapter around. I could install an Apple operating system on an NVMe and use enclosure as an external bootable Macintosh drive. Can be used for data rescue and a lot of other tasks as well. The quality is good and it functions as advertised.
