I'm impressed! I've used it for five days for as long as it stays on to see if I noticed a reduction of the abdominal strain I've been experiencing after going too hard with various forms of crunches, planks and other ab-focused exercises in pilates, yoga and barre classes. My doctor had ordered a sonogram and then CT scan to rule out a hernia given how long I felt the strain and no hernia was found on either scan but the pain was lingering. An MRI also didn't show anything problematic. I stopped taking exercise classes entirely for a bit and missed them terribly but the area felt vulnerable whenever I'd resume. I decided to try the red light therapy pad against the abdomen for five minutes each night (no strap needed, I tucked it in to my leggings and that gave a tight enough hold). I feel no pain today! Maybe the injury was already healing but it went from like a seven in terms of pain when I'd twist or crunch or even turn in bed to zero pain level in five days. Can't be sure it's causation and not just correlation but it just seems like too much of a coincidence for the red light therapy not to be the reason.One annoyance is that there's no rechargeable battery within the pad itself and so you have to keep it plugged into a power adaptor with a USB-C port, it's not that big a deal but I'd prefer it were rechargeable... I'd also prefer a longer cable were included given that you remain plugged in but I have longer cables at home and they work just fine with the unit. You can also plug the cable into a charged power bank if you prefer. I like that the unit turns itself off so as not to create a safety hazard.All in all, I'm so delighted that this thing seemed to speed the recovery of my strained abdominal muscles which will allow me to reconvene my studio classes! Right now it's out of stock but I want to buy another one for my sister so I'm hoping this will be available again soon.

This red light therapy pad delivers solid results for muscle recovery and localized pain relief. The dual-wave LEDs (660nm and 850nm) penetrate deeply, and the four modes make it easy to tailor the session for warmth or intensity. It does have a leather wrap. It feels durable and comfortable against my skin, and it’s flexible enough to flex around my shoulders and knees. (A Weekend Warrior Must) After using it regularly I’ve noticed faster muscle recovery post-weekend and less tension in my neck area. A well-made and effective device for at-home light therapy.

I believe the red light is helping with back pain; however, always having to keep it plugged in is quite annoying. Would be better if it was chargeable & I could use in the car.
