Although the meat was not as chunky as I remembered, it tasted the same and was equally great with beef/noodles. Very Amish/Mennonite, it is the brand I had when visiting my uncle's farm . VERY easy to use and adaptable to any recipe calling for canned beef.There is nothing added to the beef, and it does not taste 'tinny.' I used one can with one pound of egg noodles for my dish...and my with and I had it two days in a row and then some. HIGHLY recommendedNOTE: I now buy the two-pack of smaller cans and use one can to 1/2 pound of egg noodles for beef and noodles

I've tested this product during non-hurricane-aftermaths and felt no ill effects. Also found the product a much higher quality of meat than I expected.
