Great camera. Easy installation. Had initial difficulties connecting the Amcrest Cloud to show video on my Amazon Echo Show. Called Amcrest support for help. Travis K. was very helpful in resolving the issue. I allowed remote access to my laptop. He made a few changes to the camera settings (1080p max is all the Echo Show can handle). Had to reboot the camera (not just save changes). Viewing on the Echo Show now works brilliantly! Thanks, Travis K!!!

This camera is ...okay. Not great, just okay. The advertised resolution is a bit overhyped. As others have said, it's pretty much native 4x3 video at it's defaults. It looks a bit out of place with the other Amcrest cams on my display monitor. I did buy it for an odd reason: Mounted on the ceiling 12 feet from my washer in the basement. The goal was to be able to see on my iPhone app how much time is left on a wash cycle from the large digital display on the washer. Nope. Blurry and overexposed. The camera seems to not be capable of that kind of resolution. I had a no-name bullet cam downstairs as well that can read the washer time screen from almost 20 feet away. This cam might be okay monitoring a back yard or something similar. At least I can tell when the washer is on by it being lit up. I did turn the camera around to monitor part of the basement for a bit to see how that looks. It again wasn't bad for an inexpensive 4x3-native-lens poe camera. Night vision is good and not snowy at all. Day "lights on in the basement" vision was okay as well. If you need to add a cheap fixed cam onto your existing Amcrest poe deployment to fill a hole in coverage, this might be for you. There are a couple of different lens variants offered on this camera model. One has a wider field of view than the other. Its snap in mount ring was pretty cool, made it easy to install. The microphone is pretty sensitive as well. I wish this camera was made in black. That would be better for many outdoor installs where you don't it to attract attention. I am powering my poe cams with an Ubiquiti poe switch.

Great camera for the price. Includes built in mic for remote listening. Note that you cannot talk on these only one way. Setup is fairly easy and Amcrest NVR pickups right away. Would strongly suggest turning P2P for security reasons. 5MP at 20FPS and all other resolutions at 30fps. Has substream for faster remote viewing and SD-Card slot for local storage. Finally comes with a plastic plate for easy fastening to eave or side of house.The only con that I can think of is that the turret swivel doesn't have a lock and overtime it may come a bit loose. Nothing a bit of clear silicone cant fix.

After experimenting with most of the comparable PoE cameras, This model performed the best...especially at night. The daytime image/video quality is comparable to comparable 4k/8mp cameras from another brand and the night vision is so much better on this that I ordered another but with a different lens for a different angle/Field of View.I had to contact the support line with a few questions/ issues and the response was timely and helpful.When you factor in the price of these units, they become a no brainer.As mentioned previously, the app and software are "clunky" and a few options/settings are in one interface (eg. web interface vs the software) and not the other... but if you invest some time with it, it is very functional and offers many adjustments that comparable units do not.

I recently upgraded my NVR to an Amcrest and have been slowly swapping out my older cameras to Amcrest branded cameras. This camera made a HUGE difference as my primary door camera. FOV was greatly improved and resolution is more than I need. Installation was very easy as well. No small hex keys necessary. You just screw the mounting plate to the ceiling and the camera snaps into it. Couldn't be happier.

They do not come with a power plug. So you will have to purchase it separately. There is no info on the packaging stating this so I had to call tech support for them to tell me this. Good cameras but you still have to buy other pieces separately. Not sure why they would sell electronics without a way to power them
