De fácil instalación. Se puede utilizar en cualquier puerta que tenga un cilindro con pasador y con manija de abrir y cerrar interior. Viene con todo lo que se necesita para dejarlo funcionando (adaptadores, tornillos, etc). Funciona muy bien con teléfonos iOS (no lo he probado con Android). Recomiendo ampliamente comprar esta versión que incluye el WiFi link que te permitirá monitorear la puerta (si es que está abierta, cerrada, con el pasador puesto o no) desde cualquier lado. También creo que el teclado inteligente es muy útil, sobre todo si planeas utilizar este producto en un lugar donde necesitas que entren personas a las que no necesariamente les quieres dar la llave y no quieres estar al pendiente para abrirles de forma remota. (Ejemplo: casa o depa que se renta vía AirB&B)

Es totalmente recomendable, se instala en minutos, batalle un poco con la configuración en la aplicación, pero una vez que entendí como era, todo fue más rápido.La instalé hace aproximadamente 3 meses, e inicialmente me desilucione un poco porque no funcionaba con control de voz de Alexa, pero la fuí probando con la aplicación de forma remota y la apertura automática con la presencia del celular y me fue enamorando. Al día de hoy ya funciona bien con Alexa, ya puedo abrir y cerrar la cerradura con la voz, es muy útil cuando llevas prisa o cuando necesitas que alguien entre a tu casa y tú no estás. El diseño es muy elegante, de hecho me gusta más que la versión pro hablando de lo estético. Desconozco las ventajas operativas de la pro sobre esta.

I've tried many different locks but this one is the best by far. Easy to install and utilizes existing outside hardware and key while keeping the outside with the same look. Unfortunately this is an older product so the batteries were no good out of the box. However, this lock is better than some of the new locks coming out. Batteries tend to last almost a year in the old model. The new locks (with built-in Wifi) need to have the batteries changed every three months. This older unit is Bluetooth with a separate wall plug that allows access via Wifi. I was also able to integrate the lock into smart homes such as Google and Homeseer. The most intensive part of the install was inputting Owners and Guests. All users must include their emails and phone numbers. Owners have full control and can operate using the Wifi and/or Bluetooth. They also have the capability to utilize the auto unlock/lock feature which requires a sensor to be installed. Guests can only operate via the Bluetooth. I did not install the sensor since we don't need the additional features that go with it. I can recommend this lock but I'd like to see August stick with the old design to save the inconvenience of changing batteries.

Prompt delivery, Installation only with a single Screwdriver and completely set up to use this lock in less than 15mins. Both Bluetooth and WiFi worked reliably; a true keyless unlocking when returning home.

After several months in use, these two locks that I purchased are working very reliably. I chose to interface my locks with my home security system, and that makes the set up very capable. In this way, I can unlock the doors remotely by simply turning off my alarm system.The physical installation of the locks is very simple. However, the software is a bit unfriendly in the sense that any interruption of the process, in terms of exiting the application, requires one to start over again. Suggest using one device to facilitate the software and a smart phone to receive the code that is sent to you.That sad, the installation app is very detailed and helpful, providing easy to follow visual instructions. The fact that this lock works well with your existing dead bolt is a fantastic feature that minimizes overall costs as well as installation time. One should be able to install this lock in about ten minutes.

I purchased the Smart Lock with the WiFi Bridge. I liked this one because I can leave the keyed side as it is and just add smart locking/unlocking to my front door.I was able to physically install it in a literally a couple of minutes. The app gives you step-by-step animated instructions that were very well done. Once it was physically installed, I had to set up the lock in the August app and connect the WiFi bridge, which wasn't quite as easy, but still not too bad.August app found the lock quickly. One of the first things it wants to do is calibrate the lock, but the lock started making noises and the app kept popping up "checksum error" messages. I killed the app, moved the lock from locked to unlocked, and then restarted the app. It's been working fine since then, so hopefully that's not a problem. I didn't even have to recalibrate it.In order to use Alexa, I had to connect the WiFi bridge. You do that in the August app as well. Make sure you're on your home's 2.4ghz network and not 5ghz. If you're on the 5ghz it'll go through all the motions but fail without a good explanation.After setting it up, the app tests the signal from the bridge to the lock. You plug the bridge directly into an outlet, and they recommend that you use one as close to the door as possible. Yeah, they're not kidding. It's ridiculous that my first outlet, maybe 4 feet way was "unreliable" and I couldn't finish the install. Fortunately, I have another outlet behind a hutch that's a little closer, and that one worked.Alexa found the lock immediately. I added locking the door to my "Goodnight" routine and created one called "lock door" that waits 10 seconds and then locks the door (so I can give the command and get the door shut before it starts to lock.One odd thing: Almost immediately the Alexa commands stopped working. I looked at the routines and the lock was missing from all three I'd set up. This happened after I unplugged the WiFi bridge for a moment. Annoying, but the lock still auto-unlocks and works with the August app, so at least that shouldn't cause me to get locked out if it happens again.The door reliably auto-unlocks when I get home, and you can get alert that tell you whenever it's locked or unlocked either manually or through auto-activity.If you want to keep your key and and have a smart lock, this seems like a great way to go.
