So, I got this remote garage door opener and I thought it would be pretty cool to be able to open the garage door 2-3 minutes from home. Installation wasn't too difficult. The one thing I don't like: the very thin wires for the normally open switch contact. I don't see why they don't make them a few feet long. I wanted to position my opener away from the door motor, to prevent interference from electrical noise causing issues with the Wi-Fi connection. I had a roll of 24 AWG speaker wire, so I used it to extend these wires. I also wish the feedback proximity switch wire was a bit longer, as I ran it along the door track for a seamless installation and I had just enough wire for it to reach on the edge.Setup in the app was super easy. I already have added several ceiling fan controllers with the Smart Life app. I found out then they had a feature to automatically close and open the garage door when you leave and enter a certain distance to/from your house, but it's in beta mode. It works maybe 75% of the time. Occasionally, I'll have to open the app it self and it will recognize that is should open the door. My wife likes it, because if we go on vacation, we can give our garage remotes to others and still be able to open and close the garage door remotely.The proximity switch is pretty cool, and tell you if your door is closed and not closed. Alerts are instant, so now I can know if someone has opened the garage door.Alexa integration works well too. You need a 4 digit code to open the door, but can close it with no code. This makes it convenient when I get home from work, as I can tell Alexa to close the garage.

This is wonderful! Install two of those; free app super simple to use and now I can simply say “Siri open right/left” door from my car. Took a little bit of finagling to install the sensors but simply because on how to run the wire in two different systems.

For the money this is great. This turned my 20 year old garage door opener into a smart door opener controlled by my phone. So far I am pretty impressed. The one thing that could of been better would of been to have a longer wore for the sensor. I had to improvise on the location were a mounted the sensor. not too big a deal. I am sure if I wanted I could of spiced and extended the sensor wire but I did not want to.

I purchased 3 of these 3 years ago, and they've been working great. By looking at my app, I can tell at a glance which doors are open and which are shut. I decided to add one to my main garage door. I used the same Amazon link as last time to ensure I got the exact same one. Amazon confirmed that I ordered 3 of these in the past.After spending several hours to make a custom bracket for my garage door, cable-tie the sensor wire, and get everything attached and wired properly, I plugged it in and added it to my app. It became clear that what I received was not the same as I had previously, even though the barcodes on the boxes matched exactly.Between the older openers and the new one, there are differences in both the hardware and the device management in the apps I've tried this in.The old openers have a LED light that shows blue when the door is closed and red when the door is open. The new opener doesn't have this LED.In the app, the new opener does not show the open/closed status if the door was opened by any means other than the controller. I also noticed that the default icon changed. I tried setting up the opener in other smart home apps with the same results. The device options in the apps are different as well. The new options show an "opening time" that the older devices do not have.I'm including 4 photos. The front gate shows blue light and is closed. The small garage door shows red light and is open. The new one does not show a status light. On the app screen shot, the correct status shows except for the (new) garage door which was opened by a physical switch. (The alerts are useful, but they don't show current status.)The main feature that I purchased this for is no longer there. So I plan to return this and get a different brand, and will definitely bench-check it before I waste time installing it.

Works flawlessly for the month I had it. Have an original Sears green solid steel garage door opener but can get a remote to work right with it anymore. This has been a great add-on
