Why did you pick this product vs others?:Came with a 12v wall wart. Box calls for 5v... Tore unit apart. PCB actually states tolerance of 5v-12v input...

It does what it says however at its extremes it’s not a clean signal so if you need it for anything other than signal conversion don’t bother. It’s not a sufficient pre-amp.

This is an impressive little unit. I bought it to provide a boost from my bluetooth receiver to my stereo receiver. It worked well for several weeks before some internal noise that made it unusable. Of course, this was a month after the return period expired. Oh well, at least it was not very expensive.

It does work for it's intended purpose. You can only use XLR or RCA not both at once, which is fine by me.It does boost the incoming signal so it's like a line level control.
