The overall feel is solid, except for one part. And that's the shutter push device. It just slides into the cold shoe mount of the cage and is supposed to make it easier to push the camera shutter. It does make it easier to push the shutter, almost too easy. But the device, basically a flat bar with an additional cold shoe mount is not held tightly in the cage. If you hold the camera wrong and it gets a slight tap, it will slide out. I guess that's not the end of the world, but it seems to be something that should have been addressed before distributing this. And if you happen to have something in that cold shoe mount, like a light - it could possibly hit the ground and break it.The cage itself is sturdy and feels solid. It's easy to insert the camera. No instructions came with mine, but the listing on Amazon has a video that explains how to do what you need doing. Again, no real instructions needed...but you would think they would include a piece of paper with at least a QR code to the how-to videos.The cage with the grip gives the Action 6 a more solid and secure feel. A nice extra bonus is that the right side of the cage itself is magnetic, so it can hold the camera onto a metal surface. That could come in handy if you need a quick mount. Be cautioned that it would not hold to a moving surface or bouncy surface or a a rounded surface if there's too much of a curve. I would only trust it on flat stationary surfaces.The kit also comes with two sets of protective glass for the front and rear monitors and the lens. I didn't have any issue with installation on the rear monitor and the lens, but I have a small air bubble I can't seem to get off the front monitor. I tried the first glass cover and had that issue. I tried it again and again - same issue. So I thought, maybe it's the piece of glass. Since two were packaged with the cage, I tried the second one. Same issue. That could very well be operator error (me) as I've had. issues with this with other gear. The air bubble might go out on its own, or I can try to reposition it again. In the meantime, that won't affect the functionality of the Action 6. Also included was a small screwdriver which can be used to tighten and/or move the thumbnail screw that holds the handgrip onto the gage. The screwdriver has already come in handy.One more caution. On one of the company videos on Amazon, they show the camera being dropped onto a hard surface several times. Even though this cage is well made, I would not count on the Action 6 surviving the kinds of repeated drops the video was depicting.All-in-all, a good piece of gear. If they had a better method of holding that shutter bar in place - I would have given this product the extra star. The bar isn't necessary to use the camera.

I recently picked up a DJI OSMO Action 6 and wanted extra protection from drops for when I have my kids record videos. This Aluminum Street Grip Kit definitely fits the bill and then some.First of all, the aluminum cage is fits the phone precisely and the machining is very high OEM-quality. There is a spring loaded switch that opens the side of the camera where the battery is changed. Otherwise, when the cage is on, everything on the camera is still fully functioning including the quick attach mounts. It also in no way will interfer with video quality.The silicon lens cover is also a great addition and sticks on well enough to stay in place in my pocket. The tempered glass lens protectors are also sized correctly and do not change the video quality in any perceptible way. The kit also includes a lanyard which is well made.Finally, there is the handle grip. The side grip gives it the feel of an older style camera, and as long as you have the space for it, it's a nice way to record, especially if you're in an area that does not permit selfie sticks. The part of the handle grip that mounts on top of the phone is just sort of a lever with a protrusion that will click the record button, but it does ergonomically fit your finger much better than trying to reach the record button without it.Overall, at $50 this kit is a good value.

The cage is really nice. Good quality, fits the camera perfectly, and functions just as you'd want. The hand grip is also nice: solid, comfortable and a good size. The metal piece at the top that depresses the shutter release, however, is definitely a weak point. The whole cage, grip and top piece are metal. However, the tiny connection between the shutter depressor and the cage is flimsy plastic that simply slides into a cold-shoe groove, and it is bound to fail. Overall, I like the grip kit, but I feel like I have to be quite careful with it, which seems to defeat the purpose.

Got this aluminum street grip kit for my DJI Osmo Action 6 about two weeks ago and it's totally changed how I use the camera. The cage and grip combo feels rock solid in hand compared to holding the bare camera. The metal frame adds protection without making it bulky or heavy - the ultra-light design actually lives up to the name. Having multiple expansion interfaces and 1/4" screw holes means I can mount lights, mics, or whatever else I need for different shoots. Used it last weekend filming some skateboarding and the grip gave me way more control for tracking shots. The cage protects the camera from bumps without blocking any buttons or the screen. Build quality is excellent with tight tolerances and good finishing on the aluminum. Makes the Action 6 feel more like a proper video rig instead of just a tiny action cam. Worth it if you're doing serious filming and need better handling.
