I wanted to give this clip a 5 star rating but here is why I can only give it 4.It's a great design with regards to the housing itself.It holds your Nano securely and has openings for the mic hole, the start/stop button and airflow around the back side where the Nano tends to get hot.The clip itself is strong and sturdy for when you clip it onto your backpack strap, hat, or jacket.No complaints thereThe reason for a deduction of 1 star is simply due to the way the housing is attached to the clip.The housing is attached to the clip via a very small screw, which does allow you to rotate the housing to the orientation you wish, but if you rotate it counter clockwise, the screw starts to unthread from the clip.Do this more than a turn, then it is too lose to keep its orientation. and turning it too much counterclockwise, the housing will detach from the clip.So while I do plan to use this backpack clip for my low key walks and activity, I will just need to remember to only turn it clock wise. This will keep it tight and attached.Functionally, it's simple and easy to use.A really good value.

This is a pretty simple but effective backpack clip for the Osmo Nano. I wouldn’t say the quality is the highest but it does work with no frills. The mount secures the nano camera without its protective case. It is a simple clip mechanism but it does feel secure. The only problem with mounting it to a backpack strap is that the backpack straps, when worn, face outwards towards the left and right. So you’re not going to get a straight view because the mount doesn’t have a ball joint that can be adjusted. I would say you’re probably better off wearing the magnetic necklace included with the nano for a straight POV perspective.

I picked up this clip because it looked like a more secure way to mount my Osmo Nano onto a backpack strap or other surfaces. The design is sturdy and the clamp closure feels much safer than the purely magnetic options I have seen on the market. Once clipped on, it holds the camera in place well and gives you a stable setup for hands free shooting, which is exactly what I wanted for travel and day to day filming.The one drawback is the fit. I was disappointed to find that the Osmo protective case has to be removed in order for the Nano to slot into this clip. It would have been great if the opening had been designed slightly larger so the protective case could stay on. Removing the case leaves the camera feeling more exposed than I prefer, especially when using it outdoors or on the go.Functionally, the clip works as intended and rotates smoothly, allowing for both horizontal and vertical shooting positions. For stability and grip, it is a strong option. You just need to be comfortable using the Nano without its protective case when mounted. Overall, it is a useful accessory with one small design limitation to keep in mind.
